Nicole Richie is back home after leaving Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after more than one week battling pneumonia, a disease she has contracted from the Summer to autumn/fall change.

On an interview to the media, Joel Madden, her boyfriend, told the press that he was out of the country for a month, and as soon he heard the sad news about the pneumonia hospitalization, he run away from Australia and rushed to California to visit her girlfriend.

Meanwhile Richie has been released from the Hospital, is staying at home for precaution, but made some photographs for fans to see how she is doing greatly.

Nicole might have recently battled pneumonia – but the reality star is all smiles in a new photo with her family released today on her personal Web site.

The 28-year-old mom is seen in the photo with partner (husband now?) Joel Madden and their two kids, 2-year-old Harlow and 3-month old Sparrow.

She might be a mom of two, but Nicole can still channel her inner-Hollywood diva. She sports aviator sunglasses in the photo and also has some fun sticking her tongue out at the camera.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Nicole announced last week that she’s heading back to TV in a new comedy series.

“I am so excited to announce that I am officially working on a television project,” Nicole wrote on her official Web site. “I am creating a half hour scripted comedy for ABC in which I will be starring in, as well as producing.”

The star explained that her comedy “revolves around a young, modern and professional woman who must balance her business and family relationships.”

Meanwhile there haven’t been so many Nicole news as she is still under “strict conditions” at her house in Malibu, California. Don’t worry, she is Ok . This is just a health procedure when you have pneumonia, specially on winter.

Due to Nicole’s health problems, there are no new pictures yet.

As we all know for now, Nicole Richie had a problem of pneumonia after giving birth to her second child – Sparrow.

She was released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center last week, after being hospitalized in very tight conditions for a few days.

In a word to her fans, Joel Madden told via his official website:

“So I stepped off the plane after a month out of the country, and basically went straight to the hospital for the week. But don’t worry all is well and we are home with no problems”.

After this, Nicole herself also tweeted about her pneumonia condition as soon she got to her house in Los Angeles, California:

“Ok coll. It’s been 6 days. Lets part ways graciously and keep it moving”.
