Stepping out for a good cause, Nicole Richie, her boyfriend Joel Madden, and his brother Benji Madden were spotted at the Beyond Shelter Inspiration Awards last night (April 29).
The “Simple Life” babe and the Good Charlotte rockers looked to be having a blast as they mingled with fellow celebs at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles.

In related news, it seems Nicole has turned into quite the protective mother to her daughter Harlow Winter and son Sparrow.

An insider explained, “Nicole is obsessed with doing everything she can to try to keep her children healthy and safe. It’s a far cry from how Nicole herself was raised. “Her parents let her do whatever she wanted. Now she has strict rules.”

Nicole Richie was seen joining her designer friend – Erica Domesek – on last Wednesday night when she headed to Dasani DIY Plant Bottle Party in Los Angeles, California.

The socialite was there for the “Earth Day” and quoted exclusively to E! news reporters on the place.

“I’m here for the Earth Day. It’s about doing the little everyday things”.

The skinny former reality TV star always has had a great sense of style, and right now she’s definitely in her retro/bohemian period, as you can see from her new clothing line Winter Kate (the middle names of her daughter Harlow). The collection, available at Nordstrom, includes vintage-inspired paisleys and florals and is simple, romantic and feminine. Plus, it actually looks like it should be flattering on many figures — even curves!

The line includes cardigans, maxi slip dresses, tunics, vests and camisoles. Prices range from a $98 chiffon tank to a $495 cropped leather jacket.
